THE Resurrection International Fashion Show will support and nurture local talent by providing opportunities for fashion designers, models and other creatives to showcase their skills while growing their abilities, organisers have said.
In an interview with NewsDay Life & Style ahead of modelling auditions to be held later this month for the fashion show, co-host and one of the co-ordinators Evidence Nyahonde said the show strove to create a platform where aspiring professionals can gain experience and exposure in their respective fields.
“By investing in local talent, we hope not only to contribute to the growth and success of our communities but also inspire and encourage individuals to pursue their passions and achieve their dreams,” he said.
Nyahonde added that the fashion show aimed to present a unique vision to the world while highlighting the diversity and creativity of fashion designers worldwide.
“We are thrilled to commence this journey by taking our fashion show in the country and to Germany while aspiring to expand to other countries with an aim to celebrate fashion as a universal language that brings people together, innovation and self-expression,” he added.
The previous editions of the event witnessed the fashion show creating platforms for emerging fashion designers and models who were eager to showcase their skills, creativity and talent.
“The previous edition of the show brought together fashion designers from diverse African backgrounds showcasing innovative designs on the runway, promoting diversity of the continent’s fashion and culture.” Nyahonde said.
He said the fashion show was also a celebration of the African culture and heritage.
