Police hunt for three murder suspects

A 40 year-old man from Bulawayo was stabbed to death by strangers

A 40 year-old man from Bulawayo was stabbed to death by strangers, who had asked for direction from him.

Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube said Lugwasyo Mudenda was atatcked on his way from a bar in Ascot after 9pm.

The incident occurred on October 7.

Ncube said the deceased was in the company of his friends when they were approached by the unknown suspects.

"The accused persons suddenly became violent and started attacking the deceased and his friends," he said.

"The deceased and his friends ran away towards where they were coming from and the accused persons charged towards them.

“The attackers caught up with Mudenda, stabbing him repeatedly until he fell to the ground."

Mudenda's friends  returned after the attackers fled only to find him bleeding profusely from stab wounds. They immediately called for an ambulance, but unfortunately, Mudenda was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.- BONGILE MOYO
