PICA presents ZVEDU Tese concert

PRECIOUS Children’s Arts Organisation

PRECIOUS Children’s Arts Organisation (PICA) will this Saturday host the ZVEDU Tese concert at the Presbyterian Church Hall in Greencroft, Harare.

PICA founder and executive director Chipo Basopo Chindungwe said the concert was a vibrant celebration of the spirit of respect, talent and Christmas cheer.

“ZVEDU Tese is a celebration of what our youth and children can achieve when given the platform and support to showcase their talents,” she said.

“It is a time to reflect on the spirit of Christmas by sharing joy and inspiring one another through the arts.”

Basopo Chindungwe said while the ZVEDU Tese concert embodied the spirit of Christmas — a season of sharing, loving and giving, it was also a platform to highlight the diversity of Zimbabwe’s youth and their incredible artistic talents.

“The concert brings together five dynamic performing groups, Elysium Magna, Team Mamero, House of Talents, Simba Arts and PICA’s very own talented children. Each group will deliver captivating performances, showcasing its exceptional creativity in theatre, dance, poetry, music and more,” she noted.

“This production is more than just a show. It is a powerful reminder of the importance of coming together as a community to celebrate and support the next generation of artists.”

Basopo Chindungwe said audience could expect a mind-blowing production that would captivate all ages.

“Featuring an all-youth cast, this show promises to be a one-stop entertainment experience filled with electrifying dance moves, thought-provoking theatrical pieces, soulful poetry and heartwarming musical performances,” she noted.

“In addition to the performances, the concert will foster a sense of community as families, friends and neighbours gather to celebrate and support young talents.

“The event will also provide opportunities for the audience to interact with the performers, making it a memorable experience for everyone.”
