AN exhilarating showdown of friendship and loyalty, Battle of the Bridesmaids, a new reality show unveiling the ultimate maid of honour is set to premiere on September 15 on Mzansi Magic.
Hosted by the charismatic Candice Modiselle, Battle of the Bridesmaids will be airing every Sunday at 18:00hrs on Mzansi Magic, DStv Channel 161.
The reality show introduces viewers to a bride and her two “potential” maids of honour as they face off in the “ultimate maid of honour duty list”.
Local entertainment channels director Shirley Adonisi said this ground-breaking show dived into the heart of wedding drama, where those closest to the bride compete for the coveted role of the maid of honour.
“Your wedding day is a milestone cherished by all, and for the bride, selecting the perfect maid of honour is no easy task. The dynamics of choosing a maid of honour can be very complex,” Adonisi said.
“This show captures the essence of that decision-making process, showcasing the bonds and emotions that influence the bride’s final choice.”
Adonisi said the competition would test contestants on their knowledge of the bride, their ability to assist in wedding preparations, and their knack for throwing memorable celebrations.
From selecting the wedding dress to taking the lead in all bachelorette preparations, each challenge promises laughter, tears and unforgettable moments.
