MUSICAL hits producer Gibson Makumbe has reached the mid-half of the year on a high note with several of his music recordings for both established and up-and-coming musicians dominating the airwaves.
The music producer makes his hits from Harare Studios and Mzansi.
Makumbe, who is currently in South Africa on his Makumbe Productions Recording Tours, is the man behind the recently launched music abums, Huzu Kwende by Mark Ngwazi and Rinda Unamate by Vabati VaJehova.
These productions are doing well on the airwaves.
“I am on my traditional recording tour, which will take me to Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. I link up with artistes and arrange convenient recording times with them. We usually work at night and rest during the day,” he told NewsDay Life & Style.
“Since I move from one studio to another, I always face the challenge of installing softwares that I find convenient to produce best appealing sounds. I am often faced with technical compatibility challenges. I have, however, in these hectic and limiting conditions managed to produce fans’ favourite music by Mai Shereni (Unlimited Favour), Prince Chigwida (Donhwe Remvura), Minister Njanji (Gore Remoto), Florence Mangwanda ft Kapfupi (Kufamba Nezita Ramwari),” Makumbe said.
“In the pipeline for official launch are music albums by Zimbabwe’s highly rated entertainers Chipo Muchegwa, Terry G (late), Shantel Sithole, Followers of Christ and Mambo Dhuterere which will be out in due course.
“For those planning end of year holiday and Christmas parties, include in your plans hit records and entertainment from our forthcoming Botswana and UK Makumbe Productions Recording Tours.”
