Hip-hop stars add flair at business expo

Rockie DoUb

BULAWAYO-BASED rapper Rockie DoUb will for the first time today face off with Chitungwiza-based singer Voltz JT at the Northern Region Youth Foundation Business Expo at Alexandra Sports Club in Harare.

The two-day expo, being hosted by Zimbabwe Progressive Youth Foundation (ZPYF), will be directed and facilitated by youth voices that promote youth-led institutions.

In its fourth edition, the expo offers marketing and networking opportunities for youth-led businesses, mixed with small to medium enterprises and large corporate firms.

In a statement, ZPYF said the business day opened the expo with activities such as business conferences, booth visits and an executive braai.

On the second and last day (tomorrow) there will be a business and public event which is open to everyone where Voltz JT, Bling 4, DoUb and Bulawayo dancers Black Opps will take turns to entertain guests.

Speaking through his manager, Michelle Banda, DoUb said he was ready to show Harare what Bulawayo has to offer and declare that the City of Kings and Queens is the hip-hop capital.

“We are super-excited about this event. We get to mix and mingle, engage with other stakeholders, and share business and artistic ideas. We come from the hip-hop capital, Bulawayo and we will be there to also show that we live up to the name,” she said.
