No vacancy at Nobuntu!

The group is left with four members — Duduzile Sibanda, Zanele Manhenga, Thandeka Moyo and Joyline Sibanda.

10th District Music and Nobuntu director Dumisani “Ramadu” Moyo says the all-female acapella group is not bringing in a new member for now.

The now four-member group will perform without Heather Dube.

Dube, a long time member disappeared on November 23 last year as they were supposed to return home after a two-month tour with the group.

The group is left with four members — Duduzile Sibanda, Zanele Manhenga, Thandeka Moyo and Joyline Sibanda.

They are set to perform on October 6-7 at The American Theatre, in Hampton, Virginia.

"We have no plans of bringing any new member," said Moyo.

“In music you can do anything even as a solo. However, we had more than enough time to rehearse four voices and balance things out.

“This time around we are show casing a mixture of new and old songs and dances. We will soon record a new album. The tour will be two months long in the United States of America and Canada.”

Moyo added that it is always a pleasure to showcase their music and Zimbabwean culture to the whole world.

Recently, the group resumed their Padbank initiative and “Sisterhood Talk" which was stopped by the Covid-19 pandemic, which wrecked havoc across the globe in 2020 to 2022.

The group launched the Padbank initiative in 2018 aimed at establishing padbanks at youth centres in Bulawayo for use by female artistes doing rehearsals.
