Upcoming model Abigail Magure is vying for the global crown, Miss World, as she is confident of winning the Miss Zimbabwe peagant.
Magure is part of the contestants who will walk down the ramp at the forthcoming Miss Zimbabwe pageant.
The winner of the Miss Zimbabwe crown will represent the country at the Miss World and Magure has vowed to follow her desire and walk home with the global crown.
“I am the next Miss World. I know I am competitive enough for the crown,” Magure told Standard Style last week.
“I do not want to limit myself and that is why I am aiming to win at the Miss Zimbabwe pageant and of course, I will represent my country at the next Miss World.
“In primary and high school as well as tertiary education, I used to do modelling and now l want to follow my passion.
“I want to unveil my talent as l was supressing it all along as l was not expressing it to its full capacity. I now want to express my talent and I know I am destined for greatness.”

Apart from running a charity organisation in future, Magure also aspires to digitalise the modelling industry in order to reach out to young girls who are finding it difficult to achieve their modeling dreams.
“I will take advantage of being an employee at a local mobile company, whose subsidiary is the leading technology company to transform the modelling industry,” she said.
“Modeling is all about charity ands helps the needy. I also want to be counted among those great women that have intensified the crusade of girl child empowerment, especially in my country, also following and emulating great characters in the modeling industry like Toni-Ann Singh.
“I want to prove and set standard to young girls about what they want. Being a woman is all about believing in one’s self and setting goals.”
She said modelling has always been an inborn thing for her and was inspired by global models like Gabriella Union and Megan Good as well as Tsitsi Masiyiwa, a leading philanthropist and social entrepreneur who has devoted her life to empowering the lives of young people through education.
Tsitsi is the wife of Econet Wireless founder Strive Masiyiwa.
Magure had words of advice to other models.
“Be a beauty with brains, follow your passion do not be discouraged. The sky is the limit, do not lower you to down standards,” she said.
