2030 saga: Chickens are coming home to roost

The scarfed one took more than 230 officials, family members and hangers on, most of whom I can bet, do not give a toss about climate change, never mind having any knowledge of it.

My Dear People

THE bloated delegation that Scarfmore took for the climate change summit in Azerbaijan, splurging millions of dollars for the junket at a time the octogenarian has put out a begging bowl for billions of dollars to avert hunger in the country, has yet again exposed the moral and strategic bankruptcy of this dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion.

The scarfed one took more than 230 officials, family members and hangers on, most of whom I can bet, do not give a toss about climate change, never mind having any knowledge of it.

That South Africa, which has a much bigger and more prosperous economy than Zimbabwe took less than a quarter of the number of delegates Scarfmore took to the conference, puts into context the absurdity of the decision by the scarfed one to take hundreds of people to the conference, at a huge cost to the threadbare fiscus.

It is unconscionable that the Scarfmore regime splashes millions on bloated delegations and luxury planes for a climate conference then howl loudly about the country is being impoverished by the impact of sanctions imposed by the United States.

It borders on madness that the Scarfmore regime goes on such a spending spree when the country is in the throes of its worst drought in 40 years.

What stinking hypocrisy!!!

It is a damning indictment on this so called second repubric that it dismally fails to acquire crucial equipment for the treatment of cancer and kidney ailments in public hospitals,   but can fund such useless excursions which runs into millions of dollars in scarce foreign currency.

There is no doubt that ever since Scarfmore was rocketed into power on the back of guns and tanks, this country has been rapidly turned into a banana republic!!!

Munopengaaa!!!

The circus over the push for the vapid leadership of the scarfed one to extend beyond his constitutional term limit of 2028 to 2030 is showing no sign of ending with the members Zanu PF Harare province taking each other to task over the issue.

That the issue of the scarfed one extending his term of office to 2030 is still topical after the octogenarian categorically refused to do so, reflects how the party has become a laughing stock and is rudderless without the guidance and telescopic foresight of Gushungo.

This is more so with the insistence of the Zanu PF Midlands province in its call for the scarfed one to extend his impoverished leadership to 2030 despite the resistance of Scarfmore.

This raises eyebrows whether there is any sincerity by the scarfed one in refusing to lead beyond 2028.

The angry outburst during an interview by the party’s central committee member Blessing Geza declaring that party members calling for the extension of Scarfmore’s rule should be expelled from the party only adds to the comedy.

The suggestion by Geza that a war vet must also rule the country clearly shows that the fight over Scarfmore’s extended term of office is not about addressing the country’s multi-faceted crisis but is all  about a shocking level of entitlement and lust for power,

The tussle over 2030 is sadly  of no benefit  whatsoever to the country’s citizens who bear the brunt of the Scarfmore regime ‘s dreadful leadership.

Harare provincial chairperson Goodswill Masimirembwa, who is one of the most vocal about the 2030 nonsense was suspended last week in a clear demonstration that Scarfmore’s faction are now on the back foot.

Indeed the chickens are coming home to roost for the faction that seemed to be having an upper hand ahead of last month’s Zanu conference.

Munopengaa!!!!

The consequences of the disastrous scorched earth policies of the  Scarfmore regime were once again laid bare  by the ordeal of  a former Chitungwiza Council employee who was owed US$5 156, 95 in 2015, but due to the currency gymnastics of Ngwena and Co, the value of this money has been whittled down to a paltry amount in the funny money known as Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG).

That the value of this money he is owed has been reduced to less than  one American dollar through thumbsuck exchange rates dreamt up by the regime,  shows the  destructive nature of the harebrained policies by the Scarfmore led dispensation of poverty, darkness and confusion.

In a reflection of the depth of cluelessness at Munhmutapa Buiilding and by extension the Reve… oops… Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, the ZiG, which we were told was strongly backed by tonnes of gold and millions of dollars in forex, has already been devalued less than six months after its launch.

The devaluation, incredibly described as a “one off” by John the Second, has already resulted in the erosion of incomes of the country’s citizens using the ZiG.

It is no wonder that the confidence in this funny money has bottomed to a historic low as revealed by a member of the central bank committee, Persistence Gwanyanya at a conference in Victoria Falls.

That the currency, which was only introduced in April this year has been completely shunned in such a short space of time, is disgraceful and only goes to show the sheer levels of incompetence that permeate the corridors of power

Munopengaaaaaaaaaa
