My brothers in Zanu-PF must take great comfort in recent events in the US which are spearheaded by the US Department of Justice.
That Department, known as DOJ (lovingly called in the black world Department of No Justice) has indicted former president Donald Trump on spurious charges of trying to overthrow the duly elected government of Joe Biden.
I have before me, a 45-page document, possibly written by a freshman student at some technical college in some remedial philosophy class. We will cut to the chase.
The indictment says that the “Defendant (Donald J, Trump) lost the election. Despite having lost, the defendant was determined to remain in power. So, for more than two months, the Defendant spread lies that there has been outcome determinative fraud in the election and that he had won.”
Every candidate who loses an election at first goes through a denial phase and accuses the winner of fraud and unfair advantage. There is nothing new about that. The prosecutor admits in paragraph (3) that the “Defendant has a right, like every American to speak publicly about the election, and even to claim, falsely, that there has been outcome determinative fraud during the election and that he had won.”
Now, take the following words from Hillary Clinton about her loss to Trump. Three years later, in 2019, Hillary was still fuming over her loss to Trump. “Trump is an illegitimate president, “ she said.
“No, it does not kill me because he (Trump) knows he is an illegitimate president. I believe he understands that many varying tactics they used, from voter suppression and voter purging to hacking to false stories — he knows there was just a bunch of different reasons why the lection turned out like it did.” (September 26, 2019, Washington Post)
In November 2016, Democrat Barak Obama was president and, therefore, it was the Democrats who oversaw government. Trump could not have manipulated the Justice Department if he was not in power.

To add to that, Ms. Hillary went further to say that Trump was a Russian spy and the government spent US$22 million dollars, employed 44 cutthroatt attorneys who found that accusation to be a lie.
Ms. Hilary is not in a jailhouse now.
In November 2002, Democrat Albert Gore disputed the vote counting in predominantly black Maimi Dade County where antiquated machinery had been deliberately used, resulting in unreadable “hanging chards.” Republicans sent a cutthroat attorney Texas no prisoners taken James Baker to the Supreme Court. The Republican leaning justices concocted a wicked trick, locking up the 60 000 ballots in a secret vault and then declaring George Bush the winner by 527 votes without recounting the votes.
Overthrowing the US government
Trump addressed angry Republican supporters on January 6th, the day the electoral college was meeting. The crafty attorney says that Trump’s speech was incendiary and that it precipitated actions aimed at overthrowing the US government.
As we speak, a “bunch of guys” (seven) are in a jailhouse for attempting to overthrow the government. The evidence presented before a stalwart judge, the judge now “randomly selected” to preside over the Trump case, was that they had taken selfies before the Congressional Building. The selfies revealed their intention to overthrow the US government. How selfies of a bunch of ugly guys, calibrated all over social media to prove that they were present on that fateful day, can be proof that they intended to overthrow the US government, is beyond me.
If any of our readers can school me on the matter, I will gladly part with a goat.
Congress, in fact, felt so safe that its leader, Speaker Nancy Pelosi had rejected 10 000 troops to control the protest movement from Trump.
But here is the crunch of the matter. The crafty principled stalwart prosecutor quotes Trump’s speech to the protestors in full but leaves out this sentence.
“Now, go to the Congressional building, and protest peacefully, with love.”
Is lying a crime?
If lying was a crime, there would be no politician left outside a jailhouse today. The prosecutor says that Trump created among the populace “widespread mistrust…through pervasive and establishing lies about election fraud.”
We will not be delayed by such nonsense. Lying is an enduring part of political life. Ms. Hillary is the goddess of lying. Democrats accuse every Republican of being racist. Republicans accuse every Democrat of being economically ignoramus.
Politics is the art of lying “nicely” (Zimbabwe English).
The real crime.
Trump, it must be admitted is a buffoon and what the British used to call a social nuisance. When I was traveling in Scotland, I came across a newspaper item called Trump News-about Trump’s foolish nesses.
But Trump is a very real threat to the globalists and the establishment elite who have created an administrative state.
Trump represents the interests of poor whites. He asks difficult questions, and he preaches about America First. Trump exposed the fact that NATO is a war machine.
The countries involved in Vietnam, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen and now Russia are the same. They have not won a war in fifty years but since they represent the military-industrial complex, their raison de-tre is to cause wars so the military companies they represent can make profits over the blood of innocents.
If you look around you, everybody who is wearing a Nike shoe or using a Dell computer has bought the products from China. Europe has been de-industrialized and turned into a vast warehouse of Chinese imports.
The Clintons, the Obamas, the Reagans, and their cohorts preached the gospel of free trade. Good manufacturing jobs were exported abroad.
The idea is to convict Trump at any cost. A convicted felon cannot run for election unless the governor of a state removes his name from the list by a pardon. There are five Democrat swing states where governors there will not offer Trump a pardon.
The Democrats are not fooling anyone. The charges are made up.
