WARRIORS forward Knox Mutizwa is hoping for a more successful season with his South African topflight football league side Golden Arrows, where he hopes to win at least a trophy this term.
The 29-year-old has set targets for himself as the DStv Premiership bursts into life this weekend.
The former Highlanders gunslinger has played 192 matches in all South African competitions, with 57 goals to his name.
He has also registered 18 assists and is the all-time Golden Arrows top goalscorer, which makes him a valuable club asset.
Mutizwa, who is one of the most underrated strikers in South Africa, believes their fortunes will be different this season.
The Bulawayo-born attacker is one of the seven Zimbabweans remaining in the DStv Premiership.
“I hope to be scoring goals and helping my team to win something because we’re talking as players,” Mutizwa said as quoted by FARPost.
“There is an added cup [Carling Cup] this year. Scoring goals and helping my team to win something is going to make me happy, come end of the season.

“It’s not like a mandate. But we talk as a family to say, ‘guys let’s achieve something, let’s do this thing’.
“That’s why I’m saying as players and as a family at Golden Arrows, we know what we want, and we must achieve it this season.”
Last season, he managed just six league goals with his team finishing ninth on the league table, amassing 38 points from 30 matches.
Mutizwa will be hoping to improve those figures and particularly with a new Warriors coach set to be named later this month and with World Cup qualifiers coming, he will not want to miss out.
Meanwhile, Divine Lunga, who spent last season on loan at Golden Arrows, has returned to his parent club Mamelodi Sundowns.
