BY TREVOR MUTSVAIRO A Kuwadzana man has been slapped with a 12 year jail term for raping a 15 year old juvenile.
Harare magistrate Grace Takundwa suspended three years of the initial 15 year sentence to 12 years on condition of good behaviour.
The man (name withheld to protect the victim) allegedly raped the minor on August 19, 2021 while she was on her way home from Whitehouse in Kuwadzana.
She was walking with her sister and they were being followed by the accused. They tried to run away but the man grabbed the minor and raped her while her sister ran away.
Priscilla Mashingaidze prosecuted.
