Woman says marital home like prison

News
She said Shuro was denying her access to internet services and mobile phone as well as communication with her relatives.

A Harare middle aged woman claimed that she was living under ‘prison’ conditions because of her husband.

Marble Chapunza made the claims against her husband Tirivafi Shuro before Harare magistrate Nyasha Marufu on Friday. She said Shuro was denying her access to internet services and mobile phone as well as communication with her relatives.

“I am not allowed to communicate with my relatives your worship,” she said.

“Recently my father called and he demanded that I give him the phone.”

She said her husband was in the habit of locking her inside the house. Shuro denied all the allegations.

Marufu postponed the matter for ruling to October 25.
