Victim begs rapist to wear a condom

Local
Plumtree magistrates courts

A defenceless Plumtree woman was left with no option, but to beg a suspected rapist who broke into her home to wear a condom to protect herself from sexually transmitted diseases.

The matter came to light at the Plumtree magistrates courts where the suspected rapist Thetheleya Moyo (38) appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.

Nembaware remanded him in custody to March 17.

Prosecutor Selestine Madziwa alleged on March 5 around midnight, the suspect stormed the complainant's house after breaking a window to gain entry.

Moyo allegedly forcibly removed her panties and attempted to raped her.

The complainant begged the suspect to wear a condom and he complied.

After the incident, Moyo sat on the bed relaxed while the complainant ran outside and called for help.

When she came with a mob, Moyo had vanished.

A police report was filed leading to his arrest.
