A 37 YEAR-OLD woman from Tshayamathole village in Lupane allegedly scalded her husband with boiling water during a domestic dispute.

Loveness Sibanda was not asked to plead to attempted murder when she appeared before Lupane resident magistrate Barbra Phiri on Friday.

Sibanda was remanded in custody to Monday, and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

Prosecutor Zandile Laureen Ndebele told the court that the complainant in the matter was the woman’s husband Prince Ncube (39).

It is the state case that on October 4 at 6pm, Ncube and Sibanda were home when a misunderstanding arose.

Sibanda allegedly took a pot full of boiling water and scalded her husband.

Ncube ran away into the forest screaming in pain.

He was referred to St Lukes Hospital and was later transferred to Mpilo Hospital.
