Vendor arrested for killing donkey

A donkey belonging to his neighbour  came and ate his goods.

A 36-YEAR-OLD Plumtree vendor allegedly killed his neighbour’s donkey after it ate his vegetables and biscuits.

Simolo Ncube appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware on Thursday.

The state led by Selestine Madziwa alleged that on August 21 Ncube left his vending stall unattended and went to a nearby bar to buy beer.

A donkey belonging to his neighbour  came and ate his goods.

An angry Ncue struck the donkey with a wooden log.

The donkey died three days later and the owner Joburg Ncube tried to confront the accused but was threatened with death.

The matter will be back in court on September 17.
