A Plumtree man, who stole eight donkeys, has been convicted and sentenced to four years in jail.
Dumisani Ngwenya(46) was sentenced to four years in jail by magistrate Joshua Nembaware last week.
Nembaware conditionally suspended one year on condition of good behaviour.
The court heard that sometime in August 2022 Ngwenya hatched a plan to steal donkeys from Dombodema grazing lands.
He drove the donkeys to his village where he continued using them as his own.
On March 29, the police pounced on him and recovered the donkeys valued at US$1 600.
Selestine Madziwa prosecuted.
