Tapiwa Makore Jnr's uncle cleared of murder charges

court

HIGH Court Judge Justice Munamato Mutevedzi has acquitted Maud Hunidzarira and Thanks Makore on the charge of killing seven year-old Murehwa boy, Tapiwa Makore Junior, in 2020.

The duo was found not guilty and cleared of any wrongdoing at the close of the State case.

Mutevedzi cleared the two after prosecution withdrew charges against them for lack of evidence.

The two were jointly charged with Tafadzwa Shamba and Tapiwa Makore Snr for murdering the seven-year-old Murehwa boy allegedly for ritual purposes in September 2020.

Tapiwa’s murder made headlines after he went missing on September 17, 2020 only for his torso to be later found being mauled by dogs with his limbs and head missing.

Shamba and Tapiwa Makore Snr will proceed to defence hearing after the court was convinced there is overwhelming evidence against them.
