BY STYLE REPORTER Mutare businessman and musician Brian Samaita says his success comes from a commitment to the Lord and obedience to his Word.

The sungura musician was among several individuals and organisations that were honoured by the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Network Zimbabwe at the 2022 South/East Region Edition of the Responsible Business and CSR Awards ceremony in Mutare on Friday.

For his company’s contribution to the development of Manicaland province coupled by supporting vulnerable groups of people in the province, Samaita was conferred with the Manicaland Business Trailblazer Award.

Last year the bulk musician walked home with the Zimbabwe Top CSR Manager of the Year Award at the national Responsible Business & CSR Awards.

Samaita has a bagged several other awards at national and provincial level and he owes this to God.

“The Lord’s favour brought me such success,” Samaita said.

He said his success was foretold by the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) founder Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.

“The joy of a prophet does not come when he is giving a prophecy, but when a prophecy has come to pass. Once again, thank you Lord and thank you Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.”

The awards were held under the theme The Role of Responsible Corporates in Advancing the Devolution Agenda.
