DJ Anusa to sign contract with US record label

BY KUDZAI CHITSATSO CHITUNGWIZA-BASED wheel spinner Anusa Dulana, who is popularly known as DJ Anusa in showbiz circles, says he heading for Nigeria to sign a record label contract with United Stated-based record label Irosha Entertainment.

DJ Anusa confirmed his Nigerian itinerary to Standard Style, which includes putting ink to paper on August 9.

He said Irosha Entertainment operates from the US and has its roots in Nigeria.

“In April l was signed by an American record label Irosha Entertainment, which is based in Nigeria and owned by an American singer Prissy Pinkston,” DJ Anusa said.

“So, I am going to Nigeria to officially sign a contract on August 9.”

The wheel spinner said he was also going to perform during his tour to the west African country.

“I also have a few shows to perform that is the one in Onitsha and two other shows in Lagos,” he said.

“On Saturday, August 13, I will be performing at M&C Lounge, Gra in Onitsha while on August 17 I will perform at Eko Hotels followed by a performance at Buzz Bar in Victoria Island a day later all in Lagos.”

“I am going to perform alongside the owner of the record label Prissy Pinkston from Los Angeles and Iroko from Nigeria.”

The youthful wheel spinner expressed joy over his trip to Nigeria.

“I feel great like l am the first Zimbabwean producer and DJ to tour Nigeria,” DJ Anusa said.

“As a producer, l will be producing a few songs for one of the most popular musicians in Nigeria whom l can’t disclose the name at the moment.”

DJ Anusa started music production in 2008 and is the man behind the production of Jah Prayzah’s hit Gochi-Gochi as well as Mai Bhoi, a single done by rhumba star Juntal.

He has also produced songs for the Born Free Crew where was also part of the group and has worked with a number of artistes, including Maskiri, Trevor Dongo, Shinsoman, Julian King, Van Choga, Uncle Epatan and Ex-Q, among others.
