SA musician lauds Zim music

South African gospel musician Marino John Mvala, aka MJ Mvala

South African gospel musician Marino John Mvala, aka MJ Mvala, has expressed his admiration for Zimbabwean musicians’ unwavering spirit of resilience and perseverance.

"Zimbabwe's determination amidst adversity is a sign of a bright future ahead,” MJ Mvala said.

“Just like gold is purified in fire, Zimbabwe will emerge stronger and more radiant.”

MJ Mvala draws parallels with his own life experiences.

Born in 1984 in Schweizer Reneke, North West province, he faced a tough upbringing after losing his parents at a young age.

"Those challenges strengthened my character,” he said.

"I learned that adversity can refine and prepare us for greater things."

MJ Mvala emphasised the unity between South Africans and Zimbabweans.

"We live together, share experiences, and are one people, despite borders,” he said.

From humble beginnings to success, MJ Mvala's rags-to-riches story inspires. Now a director at a local private company, he remains committed to his music and message of hope.
