Young Gemini dominates hip-hop nominations

Young Gemini

Young Gemini, born Tania Seremwe, has solidified her position in Zimbabwean hip-hop by dominating the nominations for the 14th Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards (ZHHA).

Announced last Wednesday, she emerged as the most nominated female rapper, contesting in seven categories for the prestigious event set to take place on December 13.

Her hit single Bag,which became a sensation earlier this year, and a nine-track album have earned her nominations in the categories for best female, best collaboration, best album, best live act, best hip hop hustle, song of the year, and people's choice award.

Young Gemini, affectionately known as Musikana, expressed her excitement on X, sharing an image of Beyoncé holding multiple awards with the caption, "See you at the Zim hip hop awards."

In a year filled with outstanding performances and collaborations, she has cemented her status as one of the most sought-after female artists.

Highlights include collaborations with Holy Ten on the Bag (Remix), Kae Chaps on Into You, and Chriss 99 on Crushing.

With the awards night approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting whether Young Gemini will turn her nominations into victories, marking a milestone in her already impressive career.
