Saintfloew credits Byo shutdown for Kwesta collaboration

Saintfloew

High-riding rapper Saintfloew has credited the last edition of the Bulawayo Shutdown as a breakthrough in securing a collaboration with South African star Kwesta.

Kwesta was featured on Bag Ra Jahman, a track off Saintfloew's latest album, Trap Yevafundisi.

The album was launched last month at Alex Sports Club, where Kwesta was present.

"We met at the Bulawayo Shutdown. God aligned us, putting us in the same hotel and on the same floor. Our rooms were separated by just one room," said Saintfloew.

"We linked up, started talking, and he mentioned seeing some of my work online. I told him I'd been trying to collaborate with South African artists, and he expressed his willingness to work together."

Organised by Harris Lodges and Entertainment, the Bulawayo Shutdown has become a high-profile event attracting patrons from across the country to Bulawayo.

The next edition of the shutdown is scheduled for December 27 of this year.

This will mark the eighth edition of the popular event, which has been gaining momentum annually.

Following the overwhelming success of the seventh edition, which coincided with the ZITF, organisers Harris Entertainment have curated a diverse and exciting lineup of local and national talent.

The lineup includes national headliners such as Winky D, Jah Prayzah, Killer T, Saintfloew, Freeman, Nisha Ts, and Silent Killer. Bulawayo will be represented by 15 artists: DJ Ash T, Kotwane Hikwa, DJ Sfiso,

Zulu Da House Maniac, Victor Bravo, Sandra Ndebele, Mzoe Seven, DJ Stout, Ma Nine, Feel G, DJ Nospa, Sancia, Boy Nino, Jaycee, and Insimbi ze Zhwane.
