Doek and Slay postponed due to Sadc summit

In a statement, the organisers cited the upcoming 44th Ordinary Sadc Summit as the reason for the postponement.

Organisers of the biggest outdoor women’s party, Doek and Slay have postponed the event, which was scheduled for August 11 at Alex Sports Club in Harare.

In a statement, the organisers cited the upcoming 44th Ordinary Sadc Summit as the reason for the postponement.

“We would like to inform you of an important change in the schedule for the Harare and Gweru editions of the Doek and Slay event,” organisers said.

“The Harare edition, initially set for August 11, will now take place on August 25.

“Consequently, the Gweru edition will now move to August 11.

“This adjustment has been necessitated in respect of the 44th Ordinary Sadc summit of Heads of State and Government, set to take place in August in Harare.”

Advance tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause,” reads the statement.

“Please note that all tickets purchased will remain valid for the new dates.

“The venues will remain unchanged: Alex Sports Club for Harare and Gweru Sports Club for Gweru.”
