The highly anticipated national finals will take place at Mucheke Stadium next Saturday, where 10 of the country’s most talented dance groups will compete for the coveted top prize.
Organisers, Delta Beverages, have expressed their excitement about the upcoming event, highlighting the success of the provincial finals, which have drawn large crowds and showcased a wealth of local talent.
“Preparations are well underway for the Chibuku Neshamwari national finals to be held on July 27 at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo,” the organisers said in a statement.
“The finale promises an exhilarating showdown as 10 groups vie for the top prize.
“They highlighted the success of the provincial finals, which garnered large crowds and showcased a wealth of local talent.
“They sparked enthusiasm among our consumers, creating valuable sales opportunities for the hosting outlets.
“Additionally, they have showcased a variety of talented competing artists.”
Shortlisted groups from provincial finals are Nyaungwe Dance Group (Mashonaland East), Bolamba (Matabeleland South), Pezhuba Pachena (Matabeleland North), Dzimbahwe Nengoma (Mashonaland Central), Culture Warriors (Harare), Gango (Masvingo), Mkango (Midlands), Dapuraunanzva Arts Ensemble (Manicaland) , Budiriro Arts (Mashonaland West) and Khaya Arts (Bulawayo).

The 10 finalists, representing each province, will battle it out for a grand prize of US$15 000, with additional cash prizes of US$10 000 and US$7 500 awarded to the second and third place finishers, respectively.
To add to the excitement, popular musicians Jah Prayzah, Killer T, and Tocky Vibes will be performing at a free after-party, offering attendees a double dose of entertainment.
The festival, held under the theme Tamba Tione, Gida Sibone! (Dance and See, Sing and See), is collaboration between Delta Beverages, the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe National Traditional Dance Association.
