Gwema shares his wildlife conservation experiences in new book

Renowned conservationist and former senior Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority officer, Amos Gwema (pictured), is poised to make a significant impact with the release of his new book, Safeguarding Wildlife: Manual for Investigation, Enforcement, and Conservation.

As a multi-award-winning figure in the field of conservation, Gwema’s latest work is designed to inspire and empower a new generation to join the crucial battle against wildlife crime. 

The manual promises to be an invaluable resource for anyone committed to protecting our planet’s precious wildlife.

“I am thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of my book, “Safeguarding Wildlife: Manual for Investigation, Enforcement, and Conservation”, a culmination of my two decades of experience on the frontlines of wildlife conservation. 

“As a multi-award-winning international wildlife conservationist, I am proud to share my expertise with the aim of inspiring and empowering others to join the fight against wildlife crime,” Gwema told Standard Style. 

He said the comprehensive manual serves as a valuable resource for conservationists, wildlife law enforcement agencies, the judiciary, and the general public.

“This comprehensive manual is a rich resource for conservationists, wildlife law enforcement agencies, the judiciary, and the general public. 

"It offers a unique perspective from the field to the courtroom, providing valuable insights into the investigation, enforcement, and conservation of wildlife," he said. 

“The book also explores the critical aspect of rehabilitation, offering guidance on how ex-wildlife convicts can contribute to conservation efforts. Through this book, I aim to share my passion for wildlife conservation and inspire a new generation of conservationists to take action.”

He added that he was honoured to highlight the country’s commitment to conservation and to protecting our wildlife heritage.
