Zimbabwe’s musical prodigy, Kyla Blac, recently made her international debut on the Listening Room an esteemed online segment that broadcasts to an awe-inspiring audience of over 1,3 million subscribers on the Sofar Sounds YouTube channel.
Sofar Sounds is a global community of music curators and artists putting together intimate live music shows in unique spaces around the world.
The video performance marks a significant leap in her burgeoning career.
The genesis of this journey started earlier this year when Kyla was handpicked by the international platform and global community that unites emerging artists and music enthusiasts through intimate shows across more than 460 cities worldwide – for their series launch in Zimbabwe.
Renowned for curating unique live music experiences, previous artists who have performed at Sofar shows before they were famous include Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Jack Harlow, and YEBBA.
With the arrival of Sofar Sounds Harare – the platform expanded its commitment to fostering authenticity and artistic brilliance.
In August, Kyla took to the stage at Ela The Garden, a renowned creative hub known for its delectable Greek-Zimbabwean fusion cuisine, alongside fellow singer Panache and poet Muvheneki, culminating in a day of artistic synergy.
Kyla’s profound connection with the audience and exceptional talent did not go unnoticed.
