Prestige Xmas affair: Jah Prayzah plots another ‘money heist’

On December 21, Jah Prayzah will headline "The Prestige Christmas Affair" at the Newlands Country Club, hosted by the Ginger Apple Group. This exclusive Christmas dinner will also feature performances by Exq, Mafikizolo, Feli Nandi, and DJ Rimo.

AFTER hosting a show, which guaranteed him a $US300 000 pay out on a single night last month, Jah Prayzah is set to headline another show with a high price tag.

On November 2, Jah Prayzah performed for 300 guests at the Venue in Avondale, charging US$100 per ticket. This intimate setting resulted in a total revenue of US$300,000.

To maintain an intimate and exclusive ambiance, the event organisers have limited ticket availability. There is no general admission, and only VIP and VVIP tickets are available. The VIP ticket costs US$130, while the VVIP ticket is priced at US$180.

Napoleon "Napster" Nyanhi, the curator at Ginger Apple Group, stated that this Christmas dinner is specifically designed for "A Listers" suggesting a high-end and exclusive clientele.

“Christmas is a season for celebration and jubilation and we have curated an event for a specific niche market of Zimbabwean executives. Zimbabwe is rich with A-listers from different industries who are high achievers hence, we saw it befitting to host an elite Christmas dinner to applaud them for their work throughout the year,” he said.

“It is also a chance for companies to reward their executives and associates by buying them seats to this event, where they get an opportunity to network with other A-listers whom they may not always have the privilege to meet on a daily basis,” said Napster.

Napster defended the ticket prices, which some section of social media described as ‘exorbitant’.

“We are throwing an exclusive Christmas party that is full of elegance and glamour. The title "Prestige" in this instance refers to High class and style and we are targeting to host the high achieving geniuses who contribute to the GDP and success of our nation.

“This is a top-notch event with the best musicians that the region has to offer, at a location of class, elegance and very tight security. We are selling value for money,” he said.

On numbers who will attend the event Napster said “This will be an intimate affair with a few hundred people. We are keen on maintaining class rather than filling up the venue.”

“Its festive cheer with a difference, a red carpet welcome with a cocktail to start off the evening. Revellers will enjoy an elegant dinner in a clean, safe and glamorous environment. They will be served the best food and drinks Zimbabwe has to offer while being serenaded by beautiful music. And true to our nature, we unapologetically dance the night away and celebrate our success and achievements till late at the Prestige Christmas Affair.

Tickets have started moving fast, artists have started rehearsing and we are ready to host this intimate exclusive dinner party to close off the year 2023,” said Napster.
