MUSICIAN Delroy Shewe who hogged the limelight with his hit song Superstar has revealed that he used to be an addict of hard drugs and substances.

Shewe's song features Saintfloew, another artist who has been struggling with substance abuse, leading up to him going for rehabilitation in South Africa.

Posting recently on his social media, Shewe said:

"This might get me roasted as hell nhasi wese or for the longest of days but ndofira hangu kureva."

"Look at these two pictures focus on the eyes and face, not the hair. I also was a victim of substance abuse and for me it was not rehab, nyasha dzaIshe dzakatongondiwanawo ndikazongosiya," he said.

"Honestly it was actually my woman who played a very pivotal role in helping me achieve that. Pandaidzisvuta ndaitopika kuti handife ndakasiya asi ndazobuda I saw things from a different angle," said Shewe.

The artist urged fellow youths not to take drugs in a bid to enhance their talents.

"Dear youths you are naturally talented and zvaunofunga unozowana wave high wagara unazvo mauri kubva musi wawakazvarwa," he said.
