JITI musician Baba Harare’s recently released album could potentially prove critics wrong if the excitement around the precursor tracks dropped ahead of the launch on Friday are anything to go by.
On Friday Baba Harare released his eighth album titled Prove Them Wrong at Padziva Leisure Centre having earlier released visuals for two songs, the title track Prove Them Wrong, which features Voltz JT and Ndine Ndinaye, the darling of many, which features Gemma Griffiths.
Yesterday he also launched the album, a potpourri of jiti, Amapiano and Afro-beats, in Bulawayo.
For a man, who launched his debut album titled Chikwama Changu in 2017 before a paltry crowd at Jazz 24/7, Baba Harare has proved in his latest production that with zeal and determination one can achieve their dream.
He has seen it all in the game and received all sort of criticism and his latest production is a response to his critics.
An album launch that had his former boss Jah Prayzah, Griffiths, Voltz JT and Vimbai Zimuto and powered by music hub Jive Zimbabwe was all Baba Harare needed to prove his critics wrong.
He has been attacked left, right and centre by controversial pastor Passion Java, but Baba Harare has remain resolute and on Friday he dropped a gem of an album Prove Them Wrong.
It was the release of the video Ndini Ndinaye last Tuesday that gripped the euphoria ahead of the album launch, thanks to the production expertise of Nyasha Timbe and Scholez Beats as well as Director Zorro, who was in charge of the visuals.

As of Thursday evening, Ndini Ndinaye, a duet in the mould of Kurwizi (Betty Makhaya and Jamal), Tinodanana (Alexio Kawara and Tererayi) Mugarden (Winky D and Griffiths), had accumulated 324 513 in three days of its release while it was number 2 on trending for music on video sharing platform YouTube.
Prove Them Wrong song, which had been released a week earlier, did not disappoint as the visuals were trending on social media platforms.
“You are definitely proving us wrong Baba Harare,” commented a fan on YouTube.
“This is a splendid masterpiece, a combination of talent and hard work.
“Your art has really matured. Thumbs up to you, Gemma, Nyasha Timbe, Scholez Beats, Director Zorro and the entire crew behind the scenes!”
Another follower said Baba Harare was not shy of trying things to improve.
“He is investing in his music and it is paying off Bravo!” he said.
Born Braveman Chizvino, Baba Harare has turned out to be one of the most sought-after musicians in the country.
He came to prominence following the release of the song The Reason Why off his 2017 album titled Munamato Warasta.
