Afrodoid brings new dimension to advertising

Rising advertising company Afrodoid Media has taken a step further in innovation by introducing Holograms.

Hologram is a light diffraction that creates a virtual 3D image of an object. Hologram marketing, therefore, uses these 3D images to create compelling marketing assets.

Holographic displays are being used in digital signage, billboards, point-of-sales terminals, kiosks, at places and in events.

Speaking to Standard Style, Langa Ndlovu, the founder and creative strategist of Afrodoid Media, said the idea of holograms is all about doing things differently.

“All sorts of marketing and presentations are being done. We have seen television, radio, newspapers and billboards. It’s time for us to see and do things differently, and hologram is the present feature,” she said.

“It’s time that brands understood the value of the Stop factor, especially in an environment where there is need for non-contact activations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Holograms have the wow effect and no one can ignore a picture coming from nowhere.”

Afrodoid Media was established in 2018 and deals with content development and digital marketing in addition to being an advertising agency.

The company will be working with other organisations at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, which kicks off in Bulawayo tomorrow, the Harare Agricultural Shows and several other exhibitions held across the country.

Ndlovu is not new to the media industry; she is a former radio personality at Star FM and a musician.
