LOG leaders Dynamos will be looking to collect maximum points and cling on to the top spot as the league race approaches the halfway stage when they entertain bottom team Bulawayo City at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon.
On paper, it looks to be a stroll in the park for Dembare against a team which has never beaten them in all the six matches between the two clubs.
In fact Dynamos have dominated this fixture so much that they have won all, but one of the ties and will be looking to put together five consecutive wins against their opponent in this fixture.
However, Tonderai Ndiraya and his men are worried more about holding on to the top spot at the halfway stage of the local premiership.
“We are getting into week 14 of 34 so it’s still early days of course. We are approaching the halfway mark, so our aim as a team is to get to that halfway mark on top of the log standings. It’s not easy because of the upcoming fixtures starting with the Bulawayo City match, so we want to take advantage of this home fixture and take maximum points,” Ndiraya said.
“It’s also a difficult match in the sense that they have changed coaches. There is now a new coach and normally when that happens players tend to give it their all, they tend to be more energised because they really want to prove to the new coach that they can play.
“We are anticipating a very difficult match from Bulawayo City, but it’s a match that we are prepared for and hopefully we can get the results. We have gone for eight matches now and it is our wish to continue on that path,” added the Dynamos coach.

City have struggled for results this season with just one win in 13 matches.
New coach Farai Tawachera is hoping to revive the team’s campaign.
“It’s going to be a difficult match playing against the log leaders, but we are going to try our best to beat them. We are new in the team, but I know how Dynamos play plus they also have the 12th man behind them. Our lives depend on every game we are going to play from now on and we are going to give it our all,” Tawachera said.
