Great Zimbabwe University successfully hosted its first-ever Charity Golf Tournament at the Masvingo Golf Club recently.

The event aimed to raise tuition fees for disadvantaged yet intelligent students, ensuring their continued education.

The university's stakeholders as well as individuals from Masvingo demonstrated remarkable support through generous sponsorships. In his opening remarks, Vice Chancellor Professor Rungano  Zvobgo expressed his delight and commendation to staff members for organising the noble event. He further extended heartfelt gratitude to stakeholders for their unwavering support.

Byword Motors CEO,  Sternly Kondongwe, who was in attendance as the guest of honour said that he was honoured to be part of such a great initiative and he is looking forward to more.

The Registrar, Dr Sinikiwe Gwatidzo expressed gratitude as she gave the closing remarks after the prize giving ceremony.

The tournament's success marks a significant milestone in GZU's commitment to providing educational opportunities to deserving students. The university looks forward to continuing this initiative and making a meaningful impact on the community.
