HIGH-FLYING Chicken Inn hit the road to Harare aiming for another three points as they take on struggling Yadah in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Heart Stadium today.
The Gamecocks are on a purple patch after winning three games on the trot, recovering from a sluggish start to the season and are now joint leaders on the log table with 15 points.
Coach Joey Antipas is on cloud nine after the impressive run, but says they have to remain grounded and he is wary of the Miracle Boys.
“It's good to win games. We started off the season a bit scratchy, we won one game, drew another three and then lost one game, but we have come back strong. It's good for us, but we just have to stay calm and humble and continue with our forward march.
“Our next game is another game altogether. Yadah is a team that you cannot underrate because they have also been picking up good results, so we just have to go there, fight hard and try to get maximum points,” Antipas said.
The 2015 championship-winning gaffer says it has been hectic and could be reshuffling his side as fatigue is taking its toll on his charges.
“But we must refresh the squad because playing three games in seven days is difficult. We will see what happens before we travel to Harare,” he said.
Following a defeat to Manica Diamonds, The Gamecocks have beaten Green Fuel, Highlanders and Hwange, results which propelled them to the top. They played Highlanders last Sunday, Hwange on Wednesday, both games in Bulawayo and Antipas believes his boys are now tired and feeling the pressure.

All has not been good for Thomas Ruzive-coached Yadah who have only won one game in eight matches and are on position 16 on the log standings with a paltry seven points from four draws and three defeats.
They bank their fortunes on Khama Billiat and Evans Rusike who were instrumental in their 2-2 draw at Baobab Stadium during the week against last year’s champions Ngezi Platinum.
Billiat scored his first goal for the Miracle Boys in that game, set up by Rusike.
