A REJUVENATED Dynamos edged a very determined Bikita Minerals in a thrilling end-to-end Castle Lager Premier Soccer League soccer match played at Sakubva Stadium in Mutare yesterday.

The atmosphere was electrified by a sizeable crowd which was gripped by the entertaining encounter.

DeMbare got the solitary goal in the 57th minute through a penalty after a goal-bound substitute Valentine Kadonzvo was hacked down inside the box.

Referee Tichaona Tigere pointed to the spot with no hesitation.

There were some rumblings of discontent from Bikita Minerals players and supporters who felt that they were hard done by the penalty decision.

Kevin Moyo stepped up and beat an otherwise impressive Bikita Minerals goalkeeper, Francis Tizayi, all systems out.

DeMbare coach Genesis Mangombe breathed a sigh of relief after his side finally collected a full set of points.

“We were under pressure and we really wanted to break this jinx. It was a hard fought victory and I am happy that we managed to score,” Mangombe said.

Bikita Minerals coach Saul Chaminuka was frustrated that his team failed to collect maximum points.

“We lost a game that we could have taken easily. We failed to conclude our attacks. We gave away possession unnecessarily and this resulted in us conceding a goal,” he said.
