TALENTED defender Mbongeni Ndlovu says his significant step to join FC Platinum was motivated by his desire to increase prospects of winning a PSL title.
Mbongeni made his PSL debut in 2018 when he was promoted into Highlanders' senior team by the then coach, Madinda Ndlovu.
But winning a PSL title remained elusive for Mbongeni, who is a younger brother to former Bosso star and captain Bekithemba Ndlovu.
Highlanders last won a PSL title in 2006, then under the tutelage of revered coach Methembe Ndlovu.
The combative defender popularly known as 'Mbola' was unveiled by FC Platinum last month after signing a two-year contract.
He was on top of his game in the 2023 season, with several clubs reported to be chasing his services including, and champions Ngezi Platinum Stars.
But he chose the four-time PSL Champions who he believes are a stepping stone for him to land a PSL title medal.
"FC Platinum has been a dominant force for a long time, their vision is clear and they’re transparent in everything," Mbongeni told Standardsport.
