Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe was unveiled as struggling Turkish Super Lig side Tümosan Konyaspor’s new player on Friday as he seeks to revive his career after recently leaving Major League Soccer side Houston.
The 28-year-old star signed a short term deal until the end of the season.
Tümosan Konyaspor confirmed Hadebe’s arrival in a statement on their official website.
“Tümosan Konyaspor signed a contract with Teenage Hadebe until the end of the season,” the Turkish side said in a statement.
“Our board member Nuri Kaymak was present at the signing ceremony held at MEDAS Konya Metropolitan Stadium Press Conference Hall.
“The 28-year-old Zimbabwean defender will wear the number 15 jersey in our team. We welcome Teenage Hadebe and wish him success under our green-white jersey.”
Konyaspor are mired in the relegation zone as they sit in 19th place on the Turkish top flight league standings with 22 points from 24 matches, four points from safety.
The club has failed to win a match in their last seven and host 11th-placed Ankaragucu today.

The Zimbabwean international, who played for Chiefs for two years until 2019, returns to Turkey where he already had a stint with Malatyaspor before moving to Houston.
Hadebe made 56 appearances for the MLS side during his two and a half years’ stint, but was one of the players they parted ways with in December.
He has now agreed a short-term four months deal until the end of the season with Konyaspor.
Hadebe, who has 36 caps for his country, is set to be a key player for Zimbabwe in the 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
