IT’S not all rosy for former Warriors hardman Kaitano Tembo as he struggles to find the winning formula at Richards Bay in South Africa's DStv Premiership.
Pressure is mounting on Tembo as a result of Richards Bay's poor start to the season.
The KwaZulu Natal team began the 2023/24 campaign with two losses and are yet to register a win after five matches.
Their latest match against Sekhukhune United ended 1-1 on Wednesday, as they further dropped to 15th position.
Under his watch, Richards Bay have mustered two draws, while losing on three occasions.
Tembo, however, says he’s focused on bettering his side rather than the talk about his potential sacking and feels that getting fired is normal in coaching. Tembo is first to acknowledge that being fired by Richards Bay will be no surprise considering how he has led the team this season.
"Look, I can’t be worried about getting fired. I am a coach and at the end of the day I’ll be fired anyway.
"So, I shouldn’t worry about that. What I should worry about is for me to give my all to the club to show my work, to show what I can do.

“I think that’s very important to me because in football you can be fired even when you’re on top of the log.
"So, it’s normal, it happens. For me, it’s not an issue, I just want to try and make a difference to the club. If they feel that I’m doing a good job, that’s important to me," Tembo said.
This is Kaitano Tembo's third head coach gig in South Africa after botched stints at SuperSport United and Sekhukhune United.
At Sekhukhune United, Tembo managed 12 games at the helm of Sekhukhune. He helped the team win twice, with five draws and five defeats.
