ZIMBABWE Pool Association (ZPA) technical director Wellington Chikasha says the death of Harare Province Pool Association president Terrence Chitehwe has left a gap in the pool fraternity that will not be easy to fill.

Chitehwe, who carried the aspirations of the pool family in the country, died of a lung infection at a local hospital last week and was buried on Saturday at Zororo cemetery in Chitungwiza.

He is survived by wife Chipo and three daughters.

“Terry was helping the association, especially with his personal funds whenever the mother body asks for any financial obligation from Harare Provincial  Pool Association, he would chip in,” he said.

“So to the mother body surely it’s a very sad story and it’s a loss to the pool fraternity at large.”

Hundreds of players from the province converged at Zororo cemetery to pay their last respects.

Top pool player Tendai Mubaiwa said Chitehwe made a big impression on a number of pool clubs in the province.

“He did a lot in Harare province as you can see by the number of pool representatives here present. You talk of Zim Pool Association, the province itself, Under Inspection, Chineke Pool Club and many other pool clubs you can actually feel the impact he had to many people. It is a great loss and he will be difficult to replace.”
