DYNAMOS’ season has started on a brighter note following an impressive early goal harvest, having so far accounted for Hwange and Sheasham in their first two matches, but coach Herbert Maruwa knows it is still too early to party.
A dominant four-nil win over the newly-promoted Sheasham at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday ensured the Glamour Boys maintained a perfect start to the season after they grabbed another three points in the first match against Hwange where they won 1-0.
A scintillating first half display saw them racking up the biggest victory of the season so far on their way to claim the top spot on the log table with six points.
Two own goals from defender Zivanai Chikwenhere and a penalty from Frank Makarati saw Dynamos racing to a three-nil halftime lead before Emmanuel Paga made the scoreline emphatic late in the second half.
Maruwa, just like the club's supporters, is drooling over the team's perfect start to the season.
He wants his charges to keep up the pace as they play another promoted side Simba Bhora in their next league match.
“So far so good, one game at a time,” Maruwa said.
“We played two good games so far and now we focus on our next game in which we play Simba Bhora. Winning games is good for the team, and also scoring a lot of goals without conceding is nice because it might count at the end of the season.”

Maruwa reckons that the match against Simba will be a grudge match for the two teams.
“It's going to be a tough match because of what happened during the off-season. Most of our guys moved there, so we will just need to concentrate on our team,” added Maruwa.
A number of players deemed excess baggage at DeMbare found their way to Simba Bhora where they linked up with coach Tonderai Ndiraya and chairperson Isiah Mupfurutsa who also joined during the off-season from Dynamos.
The players who moved to Shamva in the player transfer window are Patson Jaure who captained Dynamos last season, Keith Murera, Luke Musikiri, Claivert Tshuma and Stephen Chatikobo.
There are also other former Dynamos players in their ranks in Blessing Moyo and Tichaona Chipunza.
But they have failed to inspire their new side so far after losing their opening two matches of the season to defending champions FC Platinum on their maiden appearance last week and last year's league runners-up Chicken Inn at the weekend.
While Dynamos sit pretty at the top of the log standings, Ndiraya's men find themselves at the bottom of the log after two rounds of matches.
Admittedly, the opening fixtures were not too kind to Simba Bhora, but it is the manner in which they lost the opening two matches that will leave Ndiraya with a massive degree of soul searching to do.
