DYNAMOS new coach Herbert Maruwa has raided his former club Black Rhinos, after swooping on talented winger Keith Madera.
DeMbare yesterday announced that the 23-year-old had joined the club just days after they completed the signing of striker Eli Ilunga from the army side.
The Congolese forward’s switch to DeMbare strained relations between the two clubs, with Rhinos accusing their fellow Premier League side of disrespect.
Black Rhinos were left fuming after Dynamos negotiated and signed a pre-contract agreement with the striker before his deal with the army side had expired.
But that has not stopped Maruwa from returning to raid his former club again, and once more going for one of Black Rhinos’ best players from last season.
The exciting Madera was voted Rhinos Players’ Player of the Season last year, while Ilunga was the club’s top goalscorer with 11 goals, six shy of Golden Boot winner William Manondo.
Maruwa, who replaced Tonderai Ndiraya, was also eyeing his former captain Farai Banda, who was the club’s Player of the Season, but Manica Diamonds gazumped the deal.
Madera, who signed a two-year contract, is one of the two new players that were announced by the free-spending Dynamos yesterday, together with Emmanuel Ziocha, who joins from relegated Harare City.

That takes the total number of their new arrivals in the current transfer window to eight.
Other players who have joined DeMbare are Nyasha Chintuli, Tanaka Shandirwa, the Moyo twins Elvis and Kelvin, Arthur “Diego” Musiiwa and Tendai Matindife.
Yet, Dynamos’ transfer business is not done.
They are reportedly working on securing three more deals that will see Donald Dzvinyai, Prince Milanzi and last season’s Rookie of the Year award winner Jayden Barake joining in the coming few days.
Maruwa is looking to strengthen his squad after the club laid off 13 players at the end of the year.
Former captain Partson Jaure headlines the list of players that were told to look for work elsewhere.
Other high-profile figures who were shown the exit door are former vice-captain Godknows Murwira, Keith Murera, Ralph Kawondera and the foreign trio of Sylvester Appiah, Albert Eonde and Alex Orotomal.
Evans Katema and Ghanaian Martin Ofori have been transfer-listed, while juniors Luke Musikiri, Claivert Tshuma and Stephen Chatikobo were also released.
Midfielder Trevor Mavhunga has also left the club after turning down an improved offer.
