Warriors striker Prince Dube was on target as his Tanzanian side Azam FC settled for a draw against Geita Gold away from home in a league match at Nyankumbu Stadium on Wednesday.
Dube (25) scored a gem of a goal in the first half, chipping the ball past Geita Gold goalkeeper from an acute angle inside the penalty box.
However, Geita cancelled that goal in the second half.
It was Dube’s fourth goal of the season in six appearances. Injuries have restricted the former Highlanders striker this term, and before Wednesday, his last goal was on October 31 when his solitary goal earned Azam maximum points against Ihefu FC in a home game.
The dairy makers sit third on the log-table, with 37 points from 17 games.
They are seven points behind league pacesetters Young Africans and one shy of second-placed Simba SC.
Dube plays at Azam alongside another former Warriors and Highlanders defender Bruce Kangwa, with compatriot and midfielder Never Tigere having moved from the ice-cream makers to Ihefu.
