CHICKEN Inn claimed another emphatic victory as they consolidated their second place on the log standings and piled more misery on relegation-threatened Bulawayo City in a one-sided Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Barbourfields Stadium yesterday.
An impressive Malvin Gaki, who got a brace, put Chicken Inn ahead as early as the eighth minute after he was set up by Munashe Pini, who also had a good game.
Marlvin Whata got the second five minutes before half time in a move that involved the ingenious Gaki.
Gaki got his second in the 73rd minute after a fumble by goalkeeper Reward Muza, putting the icing on the cake for the GameCocks.
GameCocks gaffer Joey Antipas said it was a difficult game, but was happy with the result.
"It was a game of two halves. I was not happy with the second half. The boys went to sleep. We lost our intensity," Antipas said.

Chicken Inn had another glorious chance in the 28th minute with an outside the box shot from Pini but goalkeeper Reward Muza saved the day for the local authority side.
The second half belonged to Bulawayo City, also keeping Chicken Inn at bay but that goal would not come.
Substitute Nqobile Ndlovu had an opportunity and shot from the edge of the penalty box but was denied by Chicken Inn goalkeeper Donovan Bernard who punched away his effort out for a corner.
Elshamar Farasi's header in the the 56th minute sailed over the bar as the local authority side searched for that elusive goal and two minutes later his other effort was tipped over by Muza.
Another chance for City came in the 66th minute but Mpumelelo Bhebhe shot wide keeping the few Bulawayo City watching the game yawning.
Coach Farai Tawachera is a worried man.
"It is more relegation worries. We are our own enemies. We only have ourselves to blame. We were not there in the first half, but we corrected that in the second half," Tawachera said.
