Cop threatens to kill wife, child

News

A  HARARE police officer was last dragged to court by his wife after he allegedly threatened to kill her and their son.

Mako Mushure told Harare magistrate Meenal Narotam that her husband, Tinashe Chagonda, was abusive.

Mushure pleaded for a protection order claiming that she feared for her life as Chahonda was allegedly in the habit of threatening to kill her.

“My  husband threatens to kill me and my child whenever he is drunk,” she submitted.

“He says that l am a prostitute and he does not take care of his family. He acts like he is possessed.”

Chagonda disputed the allegations, and said he was no longer in love with in Mushure.

“She beats me because she thinks that l am seeing my first wife again and she cut my ear, and nose,” he alleged.

“I have no peace and it will be a pleasure if this woman leaves my home, and I pay maintenance.”

Naratom granted her the protection.
