A Domboshava man went beserk and stabbed his friend after accusing him of stealing his mobile phone.
Douglas Tafirenyika is now facing attempted murder charges.
He was remanded out of custody until March 7 after being granted US$100 by Harare magistrate Donald Ndirowei.
Prosecutor Anesu Chirenje alleged that Tafirenyika slapped Simbarashe Pedzisayi twice on the face and followed him outside the bar accusing him of stealing his phone.
The court heard that Tafirenyika stabbed Pedzisayi on the face once with a sharp object and several times on his hands.
Pedzisayi sustained some injuries and reported the matter to the police leading to his arrest.
The incident occurred on February 3 at around 11pm in Domboshava at a bar where they were drinking beer.
