A PLUMTREE man assaulted his wife for attending a night party without his permission.
Khulani Chauke (30) appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware yesterday and was remanded in custody to February 8.
The State alleged that on January 27, Chauke followed his wife at around 10pm who had gone for a party.
Upon arrival at the venue, Chauke ordered his wife, Promise Ndlovu, to go home and she complied.
While on their way home Ndlovu assaulted her with fists and she sustained bruises on her face.
Chauke was restrained from further assaulting his wife by a passer-by.
Selestine Madziwa represented the State.
