Praying woman stumbles on corpse

Poisonous substances were found in the deceased's pockets.

A Bindura woman, who was praying at a mountain in the town, stumbled on a corpse of a man who is suspected to have committed suicide.

The body of Augustine Chidzonga (55) was found by Getrude Ndowa who alerted the police.

Mashonaland Central police deputy spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha confirmed the case.

It is alleged that on March 2, Ndowa went to the ZAOGA prayer mountain for prayers and discovered Chidzonga's lifeless body.

She alerted the police who used Chidzonga's cell phone to track his wife Esther Chitsa who positively identified the body.  Poisonous substances were found in the deceased's pockets.
