A suspected Plumtree ‘drug-lord’ has been released and ordered to perform community service.
Magistrate Lungile Ncube ordered the suspect, Sam Junior Mhako, to perform community service at Plumtree court.
He was convicted on two counts of possessing drugs.
Mhako, a former police officer, is accused of supplying school children with all sorts of drugs.
After his arrest, he allegedly bragged that he will not go to jail as he was connected.
Mhako was once convicted on charges of dealing in drugs.
On the first record, he was sentenced to 12 months wholly suspended on condition of 420 hrs of community service at Plumtree court
He was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment with six months suspended on the second count.
