Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube told Southern Eye that police were investigating the matter after a report was made concerning the teenage girl’s ordeal.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD female student was allegedly kidnapped by a Kombi driver on her way home from school.

The combi driver reportedly took the girl to an abandoned house in Magwegwe where he raped her before releasing her. Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube told Southern Eye that police were investigating the matter after a report was made concerning the teenage girl’s ordeal.

“Police are carrying out an investigation to handle the matter and we are working towards solving it,” he said.

According to information circulating on social media, a female student boarded “a yellow baby quantum” commuter omnibus on her way home from school.

The kombi driver then locked all the vehicle doors after dropping off all other passengers at their drop off points and went with the girl to an abandoned house and raped her.

After raping her, the kombi driver reportedly dropped her off in town and threatened to kill her using a gun and injections if she reported the matter.

Ncube urged members of the public to help with information concerning the case.
