Tshabangu, Welshman Ncube feud spills to court

Tshabangu and Ncube have been tussling over CCC’s allocation of government funding under the Political Parties Finance Act.

A Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) faction led by Welshamn Ncube has taken self-proclaimed secretary general Sengezo Tshabungu to court seeking to block him from purging the party’s leadership in Parliament.

Tshabangu, who seized control of CCC from its founding leader Nelson Chamisa early this year through controversial court judgements, has been pushing for a reshuffle of chairpersons of parliamentary portfolio committees that belong to the party.

His critics say he wants to replace the incumbents holding influential positions in Parliament with his loyalists amid allegations of money exchanging hands.
